About Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q

Jim 'N Nick's celebrates the artistry of slow cooked Bar-B-Q with recipes handed down for generations.

Located at 5150 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30004, Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q operates as a chinese bbq serving Alpharetta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amโ€“9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q at (470) 789-3435; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alpharetta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First walking in the Mgr was holding a meeting with about 10 employees in the dining room talking about the dress code and being on the phone trying to be a utuber at work. That stuff is for the back of the house. My ribs were salty and I've had more tender beef jerky. The smoke flavor was deep and rich but that is the best I can say. The blond bartender was friendly and right on top of my order, good customer service

Stoped by and grabbed dinner here tonight after reading the reviews I thought I would be enjoying fantastic BBQ. I was wrong, this is a small Jim and nicks from what I have seen before but it had outdoor seating and a few tables inside. The hostess was very nice and helpful when we placed the order of Carolina pork sandwich and 1lb of ribs also a side of โ€œburnt endsโ€ I was told there would be about 5-6 pieces for $10 when it arrived at the table there were only 3โ€ฆ there is no way on this earth that 3 cubes equates to $10. I got got. For the rest of the meal and experience are food when delivered was almost tossed on the table with a quick walk off. There was no cutlery or anything to eat out sides with. No waiter or waitress ever walked by to ask if we needed anything. I had to go inside and track down the same hostess and ask for something to eat with. Once we tried the food the ribs were definitely old the meat had an off taste and dry. The sandwich my son said wasnโ€™t that good. The sides were okay but the main course was very disappointing. I also had to track someone down for bbq sauce! What the heck.. our overall experience was just that weโ€™re not coming back.

Took the family here and had a nice experience. Food was good from bbq chicken, pork and turkey. Sides of collards, mac&cheese, onion rings and salads were also very good. They bring cheese biscuits to the table for free. Great service from the cashier to the cook. Highly recommend!

Honestly I canโ€™t believe the best BBQ was basically around the corner from my house this whole time! I finally tried Jim N Nickโ€™s and was blown away by how good everything was. The BBQ was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly, and the sides tasted just as amazing. What really stood out though was the hospitality. The team made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in, Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell thereโ€™s genuine care in the service, and that extra attention made the whole experience even better. Great food, great people, and definitely a place Iโ€™ll be coming back to!

I have literally been here more times than I can count, and every time the food and service were 10/10! My favorite feature about this restaurant is that they have a DRIVE THRU! You can get REAL food (for around the same price as โ€œfast foodโ€ restaurants), and you donโ€™t have to get out of your car. The ladies that work the drive thru are so friendly, and on each occasion my order has been correct. I have never experienced a negative attitude from any one here. The sides are delicious (collard greens are exquisite). I love the baked beans. They have the best wings in metro Atlanta (highly recommend the honey habanero bbq wings), but everything Iโ€™ve ordered has been legitimately delicious ๐Ÿคค 100% recommend this place
